Your website does not need to be broken to be costing you business. Most small business sites slip quietly out of date, and the owner is the last to notice. Here are five signs it is time for a refresh.
1. It is slow on a phone
More than half your visitors are on a phone. If the site takes more than a few seconds to load or feels awkward to tap through, people leave before they ever see your offer.
2. It does not say where you work
Local buyers search with a city attached. If your pages never name Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, or the neighborhoods you actually serve, you are invisible for the searches that matter most.
3. Nothing has changed in a year
A static site tells Google there is nothing new to see. A steady trickle of useful articles keeps you in the running.
4. You cannot update it yourself
If every small edit means emailing a developer and waiting, the site becomes a chore instead of a tool.
5. It does not ask for the job
Every page should make the next step obvious: call, book, or request a quote. If yours just describes you, it is a brochure, not a salesperson.
Recognize a few of these? Let's talk about a refresh that pays for itself.
